Day 323: Meeting matters

I had a meeting out of the office this morning at a partner organisation so I wanted to look a bit smarter. It was a good event with lots of interesting speakers and people to meet.

Day 322: Pretty pattern

I have tried wearing this top various ways and despite loving the colours I just cannot quite make it work.

Day 321: Wrap up warm

It definitely felt a lot colder today so on went the cosy polo neck, the scarf and knee high boots. I felt the scarf brightened up the look however, it would have toned in better with shades of green.

Had a busy day today with meetings and lots on.

Managed to go to the gym tonight and the work out went well. I am definitely making progress on this running thing although not quite at marathon level yet!

This top has nice detail around the neck and was a Christmas gift from my mum last year. However it is a bit too tight across the front so not sure it should be worn again unless I lose a bit of weight.

Sometimes I feel that when I find something I like I wear it to death and it certainly feels like I am getting a fair mileage from this dress. It has also forced me to be creative in styling it so the looks I create are different. I quite liked this look today which was quite a departure for me.

I have only worn this black and white top a few times as I haven't been sure how to style it. It has a belt which I did not wear today and the neck line is pretty low as you can see. I have also left it so long to wear that it is now a bit too big.

I had an evening work event to attend today so got home late and then promptly mananged to fall over by slipping on the wooden floor when I got in. Despite the smile I took this picture right after and was still feeling rather shocked , battered and bruised.  I hurt my knee when I fell and my right writst when I put my hands down to save my fall and I couldn't quite believe it happened! What a clumsy oaf!

I went back to work today but to be perfectly honest still didn't quite feel up to it but as I have lots on later in the week I just knew I couldn't stay away any longer.

My cousin who lives in the Carribean was over visiting so my mum and dad came through to Edinburgh to see her. We had a lovely family dinner at my aunt's and got to catch up with everyone and hear all their news.

I am still going well with the running and feel that my shape is changing a bit too. I haven't really been able to wear this dress as it was just a bit too small but it is feeling and hanging a lot better now. I felt happy and confident in this look today and the tights and shoes were quite a bold choice.

I liked this look - jazzing up the black dress. I particularly liked these tights, however they haven't lasted the day without a snag as you can see so I hope they can be mended.
