Day 115: Wobbly Wednesday

              • Pink cardi: Debenhams
              • Flowery blouse: Matalan
              • Navy trousers: Marks and Spencer
              • Boots: Clarks

Day three of the kitchen refurb and all is progressing although I am having a bit of a wobble about the finish of it all. This morning the builder told me that there wasn't a splashback for two of the side walls and I'm not quite sure whose fault that is. It is also apparent that the walls are not in the best shape and trying to reconcile straight cupboards, and worktop edges with wavy walls will be a challenge but will it all look alright in the end? I knew that once the kitchen was installed there would still be walls to paint and a floor to do but I had thought I could make do with what I have at the moment for a little while at least. I am now not sure that it will be left in a state which I can happily live with, and in fact it may well look really unfinished. I've fretted about it all day and I have come home to worktops, a sink and hob which is great but the splashbacks are not even what I thought I had ordered! This is starting to feel like one of the longest weeks ever - drama!

  1. love a collared shirt layered with a cardi. and the trousers are great!

must be tough without your kitchen, but you're going to be so happy with it once it's done!

  2. Ah, sounds like a big project! I hate how home remodeling just throws your life into chaos for a while. But rest assured, once it's all done you will be so happy with the results! I haven't been to Scotland yet but I'm just dying to go! I've heard so much about it, and I have relatives that I haven't even met yet. So, someday hopefully! It's so fun to "meet" a fellow blogger from Glasgow/Edinburgh though. I will have to live vicariously through you until I can get there myself. =) Have a lovely day!
